Fiji-born Crusaders winger Sevuloni Reece played one of the best games of his life over the weekend as he scored 3 tries to help the Crusaders thump the Western Force 55-33, and also pushed him to become the second all-time top try scorer in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition with 64 tries so far, 1 try behind leading try scorer TJ Perenara.

Reece not only scored three tries but was also all over the park and led some stats in the game.

The 28-year-old ran a total of 132 metres in 15 carries, beating 7 defenders and making 5 linebreaks.

Reece’s performance could see him make his way back into the All Blacks squad for the upcoming tests this year after missing out on most of the tests last season.

Meanwhile, winger Macca Springer created history for the Crusaders over the weekend by being the first player to score 5 tries in a single match for the club.

The Crusaders now have jumped to second place in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific points table with 14 points.

The Chiefs still lead the table with 18 points, while the Drua has slipped to 10 place with 7 points following their 38-21 loss to the Brumbies over the weekend.

The Crusaders will take on the Blues at 6.05pm this Saturday in Auckland, in round 6 of the competition.

In other matches this week, Moana Pasifika will host the Chiefs at 6.05pm Friday, the Highlanders will take on the Reds at 3.35pm Saturday, the Waratahs will play the Brumbies at 8.35pm Saturday and the Western Force will Host the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua at 6.05pm Sunday in Perth.
