WAF urges people to store water ahead of TC Vaianu
The Water Authority of Fiji is urging people across the country to store water for backup supply as Tropical Cyclone Vaianu continues to affect the country.

WAF says that adverse weather conditions, including continuous heavy rain and flooding, could disrupt water production levels.

They say this may lead to low water pressure or even temporary water outages in some areas.

WAF further says that deteriorating road conditions may delay the delivery of water cartage services to affected communities, further impacting access to clean water.

People are strongly encouraged to store sufficient water in advance and to boil all drinking water as a precautionary measure.

WAF is advising the public to remain cautious, stay safe and be well-prepared during this period of severe weather.

WAF has confirmed that its National Call Centre will remain fully operational 24/7 and people can seek assistance by calling 3346777, using the short code 5777, or the toll-free line 1508.
