Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere is the new Tui Macuata - Taukei Bolatagane.
Ratu Wiliame the younger brother of the late Tui Macuata Ratu Aisea Katonivere was traditionally handed the title this morning in the chiefly village of Naduri.
Ratu Wiliame said he is honoured to be bestowed the title and is ready to live up to his late brother’s legacy.
Ratu Wiliame, 49, is married with two children and is currently an employee at the Macuata Tikina Holdings.
The installation was overseen by the Sau Turaga Taukei Namara - Ratu Peni Sogia and the Mataqali Nabariqi Yavusa Namama.
