The police has not received a report regarding the facebook page, ‘Elite Society’ but the Cybercrime Unit are monitoring it.

‘Elite Society’ is suspected to be a pyramid scheme and is allegedly recruiting agents for a possible scheme.

The page is allegedly recruiting agents for a possible multi-level marketing scheme, requiring an initial investment of $1,200 and upon payment, buyers are promised a package from ‘Elite Society’ containing various skincare and health products, purportedly for resale.

Police say the Cybercrime Unit is working with stakeholders in terms of monitoring and providing awareness to members of the public.

fijivillage News is urging people not be swayed by posts claiming quick returns on investment from suspicious sites or group.
