Police are requesting for assistance from the public in identifying an i-Taukei man whose body was found in a creek near the junction of Caubati Road last night.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the victim was seen walking from the Kinoya traffic lights partially clothed at around 9pm.

She adds that an eyewitness saw the man jump into the creek and attempts to locate him were unsuccessful.

Valelevu Police with the assistance of National Fire Authority officials managed to retrieve the man where he was rushed to the Valelevu Health Centre but was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.

Please call 8937171 if you witnessed anything after 9pm between Kinoya and Caubati or may have a relative or family member missing.
