New Zealand Men’s 7s assistant coach Tomasi Cama Junior says playing 7s in Fiji is a great learning platform for the young players in the squad.

He says they have a young team that will participate in the 46th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s and the key for the team is to learn as much as they can when they are in Fiji and he hopes that some of the young players will put their names forward for selection.

This is the first time the New Zealand Men’s 7s team will be participating in the Marist 7s tournament and they are in Pool B with Malake, Police White and Marist.

The Marist 7s will kick off tomorrow with the Under 21 and the Women’s competition while the Men’s category will begin on Friday.

The men’s quarter-finals will begin at 2.50pm Saturday, the semi-finals will start at 5.30pm Saturday and the final will be at 7.30pm Saturday.

You can catch the live commentaries for the men’s cup quarterfinals, semi-finals and final on our sister station Viti FM.
