Players part of the extended squad of the Fiji Airways men's national 7s team will play for their respective clubs at the beginning of the Super 7s Series at the end of this month.

Coach Gareth Baber says he will then progressively bring the players together as the tournament progresses.

The Super 7s Series is a local version of the HSBC World Rugby 7s Series.

It will involve four 7s tournaments where the Top 16 teams will play across all the tournaments.

These teams will collect points like in the World Rugby 7s Series and in the end, there will be a winner.

The first tournament will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of this month at Lawaqa Park.

Players in the Fijiana squad will also play in the tournament.

They will field two teams.

Some of the teams likely to be included are Tabadamu, Ratu Filise, Taveuni, Army and Police.
