The people of Fiji deserve an uninterrupted water supply, and the Water Authority of Fiji will continue investing in critical infrastructure to achieve that goal.

This is following the fault that occurred on a DN250 interconnection main, impacting water supply to customers in the area of Sawani-Serea Road water supply.

WAF say they have provided an update on the repair progress, highlighting the successful restoration of the DN900 Viria trunk main, which played a key role in resuming supply to affected areas.

Minister for Public Works, Ro Filipe Tuisawau also visited the site and was briefed on the coordinated response between WAF and contractor Flame Tree to resolve the issue efficiently.

Ro Filipe also commended WAF and its contractors for their swift and effective response.

He says the government remains fully committed to strengthening our water infrastructure, tackling challenges like this, and ensuring a reliable water supply for all Fijians.
