Patel was a beacon of inspiration for the nation - Saukuru

Vinod Patel was a beacon of inspiration for the entire nation as his unwavering dedication and passion for sports has left an incredible mark on countless individuals.

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru, highlighted this while offering his condolences towards the family and friends of Patel and stated that he is deeply saddened by the loss of an exceptional individual whose contributions to the development of soccer in Fiji will be forever cherished.

He says that Patel’s tireless efforts in promoting and nurturing the talents of the youths have been instrumental in shaping the future of soccer.

Saukuru says he had the privilege of witnessing Patel's unwavering commitment to empower youths through sports which created a strong bond between them.

The funeral service for Patel will be held at 11am tomorrow at Vinod Patel Park in Ba, followed by his cremation at Varoko Crematorium at 1.30pm.
