The newest beer flavor - the Fiji Gold Moli, a beer with a twist of lemon

Paradise Beverages Fiji Limited launched its newest beer flavor - the Fiji Gold Moli, a beer with a twist of lemon.

Paradise Beverages General Manager Mike Spencer says lemon flavor beers are on trend world wide, so the company decided to put the lemon flavor into the highest selling beer in Fiji which, according to him will be a hit.

He says Fiji Gold Moli is Fiji Gold with a natural lemon concentrate.

Spencer says Paradise Beverages sells about 1.9 million cartons of all its beer products in Fiji in a year and Fiji Gold makes up 1.3 million cartons of the total.

Spencer says the investment into the new product was minimal in terms of cost, but the company invested a lot of its time into the new product which had 26 trial brews and took a year to perfect.

He says in terms of returns, the company wants the product to become a regular beer which gets consumed in Fiji.

He says the new product is expected to cost 15 cents more than a can of Fiji Gold or Fiji Bitter.

Fiji Gold Moli contains 4.6% alcohol.
