The Fiji Water Flying Fijians have thumped Ikale Tahi Tonga 50-19 in their Round 3 Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup match.

Flying Fijians skipper Tevita Ikanivere celebrated his birthday today winning the Player of the Match and also contributing one try out of the total 7 tries scored by Fiji.

The other tries were scored by Elia Canakaivata and Iosefo Masi who scored doubles, Meli Derenalagi and Inia Tabuavou.

The Flying Fijians were off to a good start after scoring three tries in the first 10 minutes.

Centre, Adrea Cocagi was red carded for a shoulder to the head of a Tongan player which allowed Tonga back into the game.

Tonga scored three quick tries in succession while having a man advantage.

Fiji led 26-19 at the break.
