PM thanks school heads in the TC Yasa affected areas for gearing up for new school year

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says he is glad to hear from school heads in the TC Yasa affected areas in the Northern Division that they are gearing up for school to start next week.

Bainimarama highlighted this during his three day tour in the Northern Division where visited villages, schools and other communities severely affected by TC Yasa.

The Prime Minister says he has visited the schools and seen the work done by the engineers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and the Australian Defence Force.

Bainimarama says they are glad to see rehabilitation works progressing well.

He says they are doing their best to ensure students start classes next week.

He adds that apart from delivering rations and other critical non-food items to families in need, the RFMF engineers are hard at work repairing damaged houses and schools.
