Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama signed the condolence book for victims of the Christchurch earthquake at the New Zealand High Commission today.
Commodore Bainimarama led government ministers as they joined the diplomatic community in sympathizing with the New Zealand Government and families of victims of the earthquake now considered the region’s major natural disaster to date.
A magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit Christchurch, New Zealand, has been labeled as the country’s deadliest in 80 years.
The Prime Minister’s visit to the New Zealand High Commission follows his sympathy letter sent to his counterpart John Key last week.
In the letter, Commodore Bainimarama said that Fiji is saddened to hear news of the devastating earthquake.
