PM says AG has asked Minister of Justice to ‘explain’ and report on Acting Corrections Commissioner issue

Prime Minister and Constitutional Offices Commission Chairman, Sitiveni Rabuka says he will need to verify the date of the incident involving the Acting Commissioner of Fiji Corrections Service, Sevuloni Naucukidi.

A video which has been widely circulated shows Naucukidi involved in a fist fight inside a nightclub in Suva.

Naucukidi is seen punching a man and he is then restrained by a number of bouncers.

He then ends up trying to punch one of the bouncers.

The video also shows some other Fiji Corrections Service staff trying to restrain Naucukidi.

Details on when this incident occurred are unknown at this stage.

When asked by the fijivillage News, Rabuka confirms Attorney General, Graham Leung has asked for Minister of Justice, Siromi Turaga to ‘explain’ and report on the issue regarding the incident involving the Acting Corrections Commissioner.
