Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says a total of 21,209 Fijians have visited the voter registration centres in the last 10 days to upgrade their voter cards of which 4,235 are new registrations.

He says those who cannot visit the voter registration centres because of disability or infirmity can request them and they will organise a team to visit their residence free of charge.

Saneem also confirms 65 business houses have registered for voter services to be taken to their employees in their offices.

Meanwhile, Saneem adds the $360 government unemployment assistance application is closing tomorrow and a lot of people are contacting them for their voter registration numbers.

He says the registration number is written on the voter card and those who do not have a voter card can come to one of their voter registration centres and obtain their cards.
