Deputy Prime Minister and People’s Alliance Deputy Party Leader Manoa Kamikamica says the coalition partners have agreed that only people who meet the criteria to be board members are to be selected for the role.

Kamikamica highlighted this when questioned by the media if SODELPA had raised their issues regarding the board appointments and Head of Missions.

He says all the parties have submitted names, but sometimes those names may not meet the criteria.

Kamikamica says they have agreed on the board level that they need to have competent people in those posts.

The Deputy Prime Minister further says what they also talked about during their meeting is that they need to communicate better.

He says everybody have been busy over the last six months, trying to understand the mess we are in and also trying to fix it.

Kamikamica adds the meeting was beneficial because sometimes they think they are doing a good job, but communication is important.
