Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro reassures people that no school should levy any enrolment or re-enrolment fee for any child in the 2024 academic year.

Radrodro says this has also gone through detailed instructions in a circular, and has been sent to all divisional, district offices and Heads of Schools.

While speaking at Suva Grammar School, Radrodro also told students about the importance of positive attitude and good behaviour as this is the last week of school and school holidays starts next week.

He says the students need to take ownership of their school premises and ensure that it is clean and ready for 2024 that is being a Grammarian with pride.

Radrodro called on the students to adorn civic pride and not be involved in brawls, graffiti on buses, and parks.

The Minister told them to use social media responsibly because whatever you display in public will have impact and a reflection of your families.

He also highlighted the Government’s commitment to Free Education Grant, Transport Assistance – and other provisions including the $200 Back to School support for eligible students for the 2024 academic year continues.

Radrodro says this support is a measure to assist the parents and guardians prepare their children when they return to school next year.

He also says the coalition government through the Ministry of Education provides numerous opportunities, not only for academic opportunities but also invests in vocational education.

He says the Ministry is deeply committed to their career transition paths.

Radrodro also asked every young person in grey safari and colored dresses seated to make a difference and use their time and energy to do good.

He asked them to be engaged in helping out in their homes and communities or villages.

Radrodro says ‘an empty mind is a devil’s workshop’ is what you have to try and avoid at all cost.
