Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Sakiasi Ditoka, former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, Methodist Church President Reverend Ili Vunisuwai and FijiFirst MP Mosese Bulitavu

The Acting Director of Public Prosecutions David Toganivalu, has decided that no charges will be laid after assessing the latest files of high profile individuals like Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and Minister for Rural and Maritime Development Sakiasi Ditoka for the alleged offence of urging political violence and inciting communal antagonism.

Toganivalu says former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will not be charged for the alleged offence of urging political violence and inciting communal antagonism.

He adds there will be no charges against Methodist Church President Reverend Ili Vunisuwai and Waisale Tikowale for the alleged offence of urging political violence and inciting communal antagonism.

Toganivalu has also decided that FijiFirst MP Mosese Bulitavu will not be charged for the alleged offence of causing harm through electronic communication.

The police files were sent to the DPP for an assessment of the evidence and a decision on whether any charges should be laid following the complaints.

The Acting DPP stated that after a review of the police docket and the evidence, it is their opinion that there is insufficient evidence to support any criminal charges against the suspects in their respective matters, therefore, the docket has been returned to police with the instructions not to charge and no further action is required.
