Natabua upset QVS to advance to Deans semis

Natabua High School has created one of the biggest upsets in Deans history after defeating QVS 21-19 in the Vodafone Super Deans quarter final.

Natabua made a strong comeback as they were trailing 12-0 in the first half.

Natabua Captain and Head Boy, Tomasi Tuitatava says they never gave up and kept pressuring QVS until the last minute.

Natabua Head Coach Raikawasa Loanakadavu was lost for words after their historic win.

Raikawa says they stuck to their game plan and needed to play to the last minute.

Natabua will await the winner of the Suva Grammar and Lelean quarter final for the semi finals in Nadi next week.

Looking at the other results from this morning, in the Under 15, Queen Victoria School defeated Ra High School 29-3, Ratu Kadavulevu School thrashed Suva Grammar School 34-0, Natabua High School beat Nasinu 33-10 while Lelean Memorial School edged Marist 9-8.

In the Under 16, RKS defeated Ratu Navula College 15-3 while Grammar outclassed Lelean 20-3.

In the Under 17, Marist beat Lelean 12-10.
