Natabua edges Lelean 13-12 to secure U18 Super Deans semi finals spot

Natabua High School has secured its place in the Vodafone Super Deans U18 semi finals next week after edging Lelean High School 13-12 in the second quarter final this afternoon.

A try from Raymond Navunikaba in the dying minutes of the game gave Natabua the victory which broke the hearts of the Davuilevu brigade.

Head coach Tevita Delailomaloma says he is so proud of what his boys have achieved today and is looking forward to next week.

In the other U18 quarter finals, Suva Grammar School beat Cuvu College 16-11 while QVS beat Nasinu Secondary School 25-7 while Marist Brothers High School defeated RKS 23-18.

Meanwhile, in the U14 grade, RKS defeated Nasinu 25-5, Marist overcame Ba Pro 22-0, Grammar beat Tailevu North 25-12 and Lelean beat CMF College 13-7.

In the U15 grade, Marist defeated Lelean 25-12, Grammar beat Cuvu College 26-10, QVS thrashed Sigatoka Methodist 24-0 and RKS defeated Nasinu 20-15.

The under-16 grade saw Natabua defeating Grammar 23-12, RKS beating Nasinu 17-7, QVS thrashing Xavier 29-0 and Marist overcoming Lelean 10-3.

The MGM High School under 17 continued its fairytale run this season after defeating Lelean 29-24 in the U17 quarterfinal with Marist defeating Natabua 17-15.

QVS thumped Cuvu College 22-8 while RKS edged Grammar 23-19.

The Vodafone Super Deans National quarterfinals are held at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Admission is $20 for the grandstand, $10 for the concrete seats and the grass embankment is $7 for normal and $3 for the kids.
