The Nasinu Women’s team has started to reflect on their weaknesses in both defense and attack as they prepare to improve their game against Yasawa in the Marama Cup competition on Saturday.
Speaking to fijivillage Sports, head coach Tomasi Katonivualiku says that even though Yasawa is currently at the bottom of the points table and Nasinu is leading, they will not take their opponents lightly, as Yasawa has been competing in the tournament for quite some time.
Katonivualiku also highlighted that the youngest player in the team is only 15 years old, and 70 percent of the players have been with the side since its formation.
He adds that the players are determined to give their best and maintain their position at the top of the table.
Looking at the standings, Nasinu leads with 30 points, followed by Suva in second place with 27 points, Nadi in third with 22 points, Naitasiri in fourth with 21 points, and Kadavu in fifth with 20 points
Nasinu will take on Yasawa at 3pm on Saturday in Nasinu.
In other Round 8 matches, Naitasiri will meet Suva, Nadroga will face Nadi, Kadavu will take on Namosi, and Lautoka will meet Tailevu.
