Nasinu celebrating their win against QVS in the quarterfinals

The Nasinu Secondary School U18 side has preferred the underdogs tag this weekend when they take on Natabua High School in the Vodafone Super Deans semi finals this weekend.

While speaking to fijivillage Sports, Principal Naisa Cama Toko says Natabua is the team to beat this year as they have a good set of forwards and a skilful backline.

He says he admired the way Natabua played against Marist Brothers High School last weekend, as they played like champions, and Nasinu will just give their best on the field come game day.

He adds that Marist thumped Nasinu in the Southern Zone Rugby Union semi finals, and now that Natabua beat Marist, it will be a big mountain to climb for Nasinu this weekend.

Toko says Nasinu is blessed to have reached this far, and reaching this stage is a big bonus for them.

He acknowledged the support they have been receiving so far, especially from the old scholars, parents, students and teachers alike, and they look forward to receiving more support this weekend, as it means a lot for the team.

Toko says it will just be like a normal game for them, as they treat every game as a final, and they fully respect their opponent.

Nasinu will take on Natabua at 3.30pm this Saturday in the first semi final at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Suva Grammar School will take on Ratu Kadavulevu School at 5pm in the second U18 semi final.

Meanwhile, in the Weet-Bix Raluve U18 semi finals, Muaniweni College will take on Jasper Williams High School at 1.30pm at Buckhurst Park 1, and defending champions Natabua will take on MGM High School at 2.30pm at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Tickets can be purchased online on TicketMax Fiji and also at the gates.

You can catch selected live commentaries of the semi finals on VITIFM.
