The Namadi Community have hosted their Police Post personnel with a Christmas morning tea.

Community Post President, Bill Mar says the morning tea is to thank the Police who have been on the frontline battling the pandemic and also keeping their neighborhood safe.

Mar says Police are the reason that we sleep peacefully at night and the morning tea is all about saying thank you to them from every member of the Namadi Community.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Itendra Nair says he was overwhelmed by the support of the Namadi Community.

He says the morning tea was a pleasant surprise to them and they do not expect anything in return to undertake the work they swore an oath for.

Nair says they are there to serve and not to be served.
