The Naitasiri rugby team is looking forward to a strong performance as they prepare to most likely meet Ba in the Skipper Cup quarterfinals this Saturday.

Team Manager, Penaia Naqase says despite several key players taking on new commitments, Naitasiri remains confident and focused on the challenge ahead.

Naqase has confirmed that six players have joined the Army team and another six have joined the Fiji Police Force side in preparation for the Ratu Sukuna Bowl rugby challenge, which will be held on the 22nd of next month in Labasa.

He adds that five of their players have been selected for the Fiji Warriors squad, a move that highlights the province’s continued contribution to national rugby development.

Naqase says these selections reflect the depth of talent within Naitasiri rugby and the dedication of players who continue to excel both locally and at the national level. Naitasiri, Suva, Nadroga, Lautoka, Tailevu, Ba, Nadi and Malolo have qualified for the quarter finals of the Skipper Cup Competition.

Meanwhile, the fixtures for the Skipper Cup are yet to be confirmed.
