The Rotary Club of Lautoka and Lautoka Ratepayers Association have joined hands with Lautoka businessman, Narayan Reddy and resident, Allen Lockington in a bid to provide relief to people affected by COVID-19 in the lockdown area in Lautoka.

These people are from the interior parts of Lautoka and they either live from pay to pay and cannot go to work as their job site is outside the lockdown area, they have been laid off or their working hours have been reduced.

Lautoka businessman, Narayan Reddy says they have distributed almost 20 packs of food and essential items to the people of Naikabula, Saweni, Vuda, Wairabetia Back Road and Vaivai in Bandrama yesterday.

These food items include 10kg rice and flour, sugar, milk, tinned food, anti bacterial washing soap and hand soap and other essential items.

Reddy has thanked all the supporters for their help to date.

He says they have also received 40 packs of donations from RB Patel which they use to assist the people in interior parts of Lautoka on Monday.
