The 43-year-old woman who allegedly beat up her 16-year-old daughter on Tuesday has been charged and will appear in the Nasinu Magistrates Court tomorrow.
She is charged with one count of act with intent to cause bodily harm.
Police allege the mother was drunk at the time of the incident.
She was arrested yesterday.
A post on facebook alleges that the girl was beaten up by her mother. The photos show the girl’s head is heavily bandaged and her arm is in a sling.
Police confirm the girl was treated and sent home.
