More than 1,400 marijuana plants seized in Vusasivo

More than 1,400 plants believed to be marijuana were seized from the Vusasivo farming area in the Northern Division.

Police say a team from the Tukavesi Police Station conducted the operation and made the discovery of the plants and the dried leaves, all believed to be marijuana.

They say Investigations in identifying the owner of the farm continue.

Police also say a 41-year-old man was arrested in Sigatoka town for allegedly being found in possession with a bag containing dried plant material believed to be marijuana.

They further say a 30-year-old man was found with several sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana at the Nadi carrier stand.

Police say all seized substances have been sent for analysis, and investigations continue.
