The Nasinu Festival 2025 concluded on a high note as Miss Valelevu, Ailava Samuels, was crowned Miss Nasinu Festival 2025, marking the end of a week celebrating beauty, confidence, and community spirit.

The first runner-up was Miss Makoi, Asupa Taivoce, from Kadavu, and the second runner-up was Miss Nadera, Adi Mereoni Sabualala, from Lomaiviti.

During her final appearance, Samuels made a heartfelt dedication to breast cancer survivors, fighters, and those who have passed, donning pink in their honour.

She urged the public to embrace healthy lifestyles, limit smoking and alcohol intake, and prioritise early cancer detection through regular screenings.

When asked to rank beauty, intelligence, and character, Samuels placed character first, followed by intelligence and beauty, emphasising that true beauty stems from kindness, respect, and compassion.

Nasinu Town Council CEO Felix Magnus delivered a strong message to the youth, urging them to rise above challenges such as drugs and crime.

He also commended the contestants for their outreach work in informal settlements and elderly homes, saying their kindness reflected the true purpose of the festival — to uplift lives and give hope to others.

Magnus expressed gratitude to the Fiji Police Force for maintaining peace and safety throughout the event, and to the sponsors and vendors whose support made the week-long celebration possible.
