Miss Fiji Pageant to begin today

The 11 TFL Miss Fiji Pageant contestants

The TFL Miss Fiji Pageant begins in Suva today and 11 contestants are vying for the crown.

Chairman of Miss Fiji Pageant Association Hirdesh Prasad says they are expecting about 8,000 people at the grounds today.

The pageant will begin with a march at 12pm by the contestants from the Flea Market on Rodwell road to Thurston Garden.

20 food stalls and 15 flea market booths and rides have been set up behind the Albert Park pavilion which is along Ratu Cakobau Road.

The main stage is at Thurston Garden.

The pageant will be hosted by the Miss Fiji Pageant Association in collaboration with the Suva City Council and the Hibiscus Festival Committee.

The first public judging will be held next Wednesday.

Miss Fiji will be crowned next Saturday.

The winner will represent Fiji in the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant which will be held in Nadi in December.
