Medical Services Pacific has committed its support towards the Fiji Police Force COVID-19 frontline operations by providing officers in the frontline with hot meals.

The organisation and Police say during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, there are many needs arising for the Fiji Police Force, which are un-budgeted.

They say this is the second phase of assistance given to the Fiji Police and a recent meeting with the Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho gave an opportunity to discuss issues of the ongoing support provided by Medical Services Pacific towards the mental health and well-being needs of Police officers especially during this pandemic.

Qiliho has also thanked Medical Services Pacific for providing critical services to victims of gender-based violence.

He says the services provided on a 24-hour basis has been vital in ensuring victims are provided vital counselling and medical services when they seek help from the Police.
