Another upset has been created in the Vodafone Super Deans quarter finals after Marist Brothers High School defeated Ratu Kadavulevu School 16-13.

Marist played a territorial game by pressuring the RKS side with high kicks which forced many errors by the Lodoni boys.

RKS was leading 13-10 at half time.

Marist team manager, Peniona Kuboutawa says they knew that RKS would be tough but they focused on the basics in their scrums and line-outs.

Kuboutawa adds they were also fortunate to have the assistance of Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli who is also a parent of Marist.

RKS was also the Eastern Zone champion and the favourite in this year's competition.

Marist will now meet Ba Provincial Freebird Institute in the Deans semi finals.

The other Under 18 semi final will be played between Natabua High School and Suva Grammar School.

The Deans semi finals will be played at Prince Charles in Nadi next weekend.
