Confidence will be the biggest weapon of the Marist Brothers High School Under 18 team as they head into the Vodafone Super Deans semi final against western giant, Ba Provincial Freebird Institute this Saturday.

Marist did the unthinkable last weekend to beat the high flying Ratu Kadavulevu School team with solid defence and a clinical performance at the breakdowns as they won crucial turnovers which was the defining moment of the match.

With Ba Provincial Freebird Institute having the advantage of western support this week, Marist team manager, Peniona Kuboutawa says they are aware of this and will regroup and see what focus they need to take this weekend.

Marist last won the Deans trophy in 1978 which was 44 years ago where they shared the trophy with RKS.

Marist will take on Ba Provincial while Suva Grammar School will face Natabua High School in the other Under 18 semi final.
