Having Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of LegendFM, FM96, VitiFM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and fijivillage onboard as the official radio station augurs well for the strength of the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

Fiji Bitter Marist 7s Chairman of the Organising Committee, Lawrence Tikaram stated this at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.

Tikaram says this is not just for highlighting the Marist 7s but the players as well as they need the biggest recognition when they take the field whether it be for their club, nation or at the Olympics.

He says all the spots in the Men’s and Under 21 competitions are filled, and only the Under 18’s has at least 3 spots left while the Women’s competition has 2 spots available.

Tikaram says it is going to be three days of excitement and high expectations to lift the level of performance to ensure to continually dominate in this triple crown journey.

He says you cannot rule out any local club or the players that come with it in regards to the raw undiscovered talent referencing the latest player in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s side, Ropate Rere.

CFL General Manager, Charles Taylor says you can expect great sound and music, fun and entertainment during the breaks as we will be there to create a carnival atmosphere for the biggest 7s tournament locally.

Taylor says the Marist 7s is a great event and at CFL we are passionate about rugby and we get behind it 100 percent and we will do it again this year.

The 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held from March 21st to 23rd at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
