Nausori garbage collection team.

The Special Administrator of the Nausori Town Council, Uma Kant Patel says most people failed to put rubbish on the roadside this morning in the Nausori Town area and Davuilevu.

Patel says garbage collection has resumed this morning as it is an essential service.

He says they will now have to make another run in these areas which will be an extra cost to the council.

Patel says garbage collection will continue throughout this week.

Rubbish collection has also resumed in Nasinu and Suva from this morning.

Patel also confirms that the Nausori and Laqere markets will close at 3pm from this Wednesday while Korovou Market will close at 4pm from today.

He says they will also restrict people from selling outside the market once its closed.
