Man passes away in early morning road accident while 7 others admitted in Vunidawa Hospital

A man in his 30s has passed away after the vehicle he was travelling in veered off the road along the Sawani/Serea Road early this morning.

Police say the man was from Laselevu Village.

They say 7 other passengers are admitted in the Vunidawa Hospital while an 18-year-old is admitted at the Naqali Health Centre and will be transferred to the CWM Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle is currently being questioned at the Nausori Police Station as investigations continue. The road death toll currently stands at 30 compared to 47 for the same period last year.
