Man in custody for allegedly murdering his father in Manoca

A 48-year-old carpenter is in police custody after he allegedly murdered his 78-year-old father in Manoca yesterday.

Police say the suspect allegedly committed the offence while under the influence of alcohol, and he later took his father to the Nausori Health Centre, where medical officials noted visible injuries on the victim.

The matter was reported to Police by Health officials.

Police investigations continue.
