A 25-year-old man who allegedly murdered a two-year-old baby in January this year appeared in the Suva High Court today.

It is alleged that Josaia Vuetimaibose who was the boyfriend of the victim’s older sister, punched the child twice in the stomach.

State has sought time to file information and the matter has been adjourned to the 3rd of next month.

The child’s parents had taken the boy to the Valelevu Health Centre and was later transferred to the CWM Hospital where he passed away.
