The Malolo Rugby Union side is aiming to cause a major upset this weekend when they take on defending Skipper Cup champions Nadroga in the quarterfinals.
Malolo Rugby Union President Ratu Jone Namalualevu says when they started the season, their goal was simply to qualify for the 2026 Skipper Cup Competition, and they have now achieved that.
He thanked the players and management for their hard work and commitment throughout the season.
Ratu Jone says even though they have already reached their target, the team is determined to give Nadroga a strong challenge this Saturday.
He adds that Nadroga has long been a giant in local rugby, but that has not discouraged his players, who will be giving their all to try and secure a win.
Ratu Jone is also calling on supporters to come out in numbers and cheer for the team.
In the other quarterfinals, Suva will face Nadi, Lautoka will take on Tailevu, and Ba will meet Naitasiri.
