Maintenance work finally underway for leaking roof at Suva Bus Stand Terminal 2

Following concerns raised by the public about the heavy leakage of the Suva Bus Stand Terminal 2 roof during heavy rain causing passengers waiting for their buses to get wet, maintenance work is finally underway by the Suva City Council.

The roof leakage was caught on camera by a member of the public 2 weeks ago and was circulated on social media, causing heavy outcry.

Suva City Council Chairman Tevita Boseiwaqa says maintenance work was already underway at Terminal 1 when the incident occurred.

Boseiwaqa says their maintenance team is working diligently to rectify the issue and ensure that the bus stand remains a safe and dry environment for all passengers.

He says the progress on the maintenance work has been delayed by the recent weather conditions.

He adds the Council would like to reassure the public that the safety and comfort of commuters remain their top priority.
