The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side suffered their 4th straight loss at the HSBC Madrid 7s after being thrashed by the USA Women 31-0 in the 5th place playoff tonight.

Fiji had no answers to the USA’s power and sheer determination as they were stopped from scoring a single point in the match.

USA scored 3 tries and 1 conversion in the first half to take a 17-0 lead at halftime.

They scored a further two converted tries in the second spell to claim the win.

The Fijiana 7s will now take on Great Britain at 11.17pm tonight.

In the Women’s semi finals tonight, Australia will take on NZ at 9.33pm and Canada will take on France at 9.57pm.

The Women’s Cup Final will be at 5.49am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s side will take on France at 10.21pm in the first Men’s semi final and NZ will take on Argentina at 10.45pm in the second semi final tonight.

The Men’s Cup final will kick off at 6.26am tomorrow.
