MGM High to face Nasinu in Southern Zone U18 final

The MGM High School U18 Rugby side survived a late comeback from Suva Grammar School as they held on to a 27-22 victory in the semi final of the Vodafone Southern Zone U18 Competition.

MGM High started the match on a high note with two tries and a penalty kick to lead 15-3 at half time.

Suva Grammar came back firing in the second half scoring three tries.

MGM managed to score another two tries to give them a 27 point lead.

Suva Grammar continued to put on the pressure resulting in a try but they lost the ball in the final minutes to give MGM High the victory.

Meanwhile, Nasinu Secondary School beat Marist Brothers High School 24-22 in the second semi final.

Looking at the results: Marist beat Suva Grammar 15-14 and MGM High School thrashed Nasinu Secondary School 38-8 in the U14 semi finals, Marist beat Nabua Secondary 15-11 and Suva Grammar beat Gospel High School 21-14 in the U15 grade, Marist defeated Nasinu 8-3 and Suva Grammar beat RSMS 25-12 in the U16 grade, Marist defeated CMF College 21-15 in the U17 grade and Naitasiri Secondary beat Suva Grammar 21-13 in the U19 grade.
