Marist Brothers High School celebrated their Fun Day today at the school grounds to end the first week of school on a high note, re-kindling family spirit among the Marist community and also rewarding the students for gallantly defending the Coca-Cola Games boys division this year.

Marist Old Boys President Koli Korovulala says it is a good day to get together as a Marist family and celebrate this family-oriented day to bring everyone together, enjoy some great food, and nice kava, and enjoy the companionship.

Korovulavula says today is all about having fun and fundraising for the next rugby season and most importantly, rewarding the boys who won gold, with cash incentives during the Coca-Cola Games.

He adds special mention to the Grammar Ex-Scholars who have been painting the Suva City yellow all week for their Diamond Jubilee celebration and have set the benchmark for this week's celebration and wished them well for the closing celebrations today.

The Kadavu man is also a talented singer and the husband of former Fiji Netball rep, Filomena Korovulavula.

Korovulavula also paid tribute to the late Vilimoni Waqa for running and shaping the region’s biggest athletics meet, the Coca-Cola Games for the last 35 years.

He thanked the parents and supporters for coming in to support the call during these hard times everyone is facing.
