Former Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s rep and new Swire Shipping Fijian Drua signing Ponipate Loganimasi has been tagged as one of the players to watch in this year’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.

Loganimasi’s rise to fame was unexpectedly fast, but the 26-year-old did prove his worth after a short stint with the Fiji Men’s 7s.

The Ono-i-Lau man was part of the Fiji 7s side that won silver at the Paris Olympics last year after making his HSBC SVNS World Series debut in the 2023/2024 season.

He later joined the Fiji Water Flying Fijians last year where he made his debut against Japan in the final and scored two tries.

Loganimasi’s consistent performance caught the attention of the Drua management and was roped into the squad for this season.

And with the Super Rugby Pacific competition kicking off this week, Loganimasi will be looking to translate his blistering skills with the Fijian Drua.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua will kick start their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season by hosting the Brumbies this Saturday at 3.35pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
