Eleven families in the Central Division affected by the recent flooding have received food ration assistance as part of the Government’s immediate relief efforts, supporting households as they begin their recovery.

The Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Mosese Bulitavu, visited affected families in Nakasi, Waidamudamu Settlement, and along Mataika Road in Davuilevu to understand the challenges they are facing in the aftermath of the floods.

The Ministry, through the National Disaster Risk Management Office, continues to work closely with relevant agencies and partners to coordinate response efforts and deliver timely assistance to those in need.

Bulitavu is expected to be in the West from today to visit families affected by the impacts of Tropical Cyclone Vaianu.
