The Life After Rugby Barbarians have received a timely boost as Bumble Bee Food has given them a sponsorship worth $3500 and a set of jerseys for the last leg of the Super 7s Series.

Barbarians captain Jerry Tuwai has thanked Bumble Bee for the assistance and adds it will give the young players a chance to showcase their talent.

Tuwai says the assistance will also help the players support their families and hopefully one day help the country as well.

However, Tuwai will not be part of the Barbarians side for the last leg as he is part of the Fiji 7s extended side preparing for the Tokyo Olympics.

Bumble Bee General Manager, Brett Carter says they are proud to make this contribution and have their name associated with a team like the Barbarians.

Carter says in a time like this a number of teams need some sort of assistance and they are happy to make a small contribution.

The last leg of the Super 7s Series will be held at Churchill Park at the end of the month.
