Sila Central High School’s Samisoni Leleca has set his sights on winning a medal in this year’s Coca-Cola Games which will be held next week.

The 18-year-old was in top form for his school in the recent Coca Cola Triple N Zone that was held last week and managed to win 2 gold medals in the 200 metres and 400 metres events before helping his team win a silver medal in the 4x400 metres event.

Leleca says he has set his target of winning a medal in the Coke Games this year as he did not win any medals last year.

He says training and preparation have been going well for him and his team, and even though it has not been easy, they are adamant that their sacrifices will pay off soon.

Meanwhile, Sila Central finished third in the boys’ division in the recent Triple N Zone with 7 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze.

In the girls’ division, Sila Central managed to win 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze, placing them in 7th place.

The Coca Cola Games will be held from next week Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
