Kadavu captain and lock forward Vaione Tegu says his side is fully prepared for battle against a fast-paced Taveuni team in their Vodafone Vanua Cup semi-final today.
Tegu says they are aware of the pace and agility in the Taveuni backline and they will work to shut them down over the full eighty minutes.
He adds that discipline and smart decision making will be key to overcoming their opponents.
The veteran forward, who is the most senior player in the Kadavu team says he has focused on building his players' mental toughness and is confident that the preparation with the coaching and management team has produced a winning game plan.
Tegu also acknowledged the support from the Vanua, fans in Suva, across Fiji, and all villages in Kadavu, saying their belief will push the team forward.
He is calling on all Kadavu supporters to turn up in numbers and wear black to back their provincial side.
In today’s semi-finals at the HFC Bank Stadium, Rewa will face Navosa at 1pm, while Kadavu will take on Taveuni at 3pm.
In the Ranadi Cup semi-finals, Ba plays Rewa at 9am, followed by Macuata vs Tavua at 11am.
