New Zealand’s Joseph Parker is set to be Oleksandr Usyk’s next opponent, following Usyk’s dominant five-round victory over Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium this morning.
Usyk became the first two-time undisputed heavyweight champion with the win.
Promoter Frank Warren confirmed after the bout that Parker would be Usyk’s next challenger, in line with mandatory stipulations from the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
Although Usyk said he was more interested in rest than thinking about his next opponent, he did mention Parker among a shortlist of names—including the reportedly retired Tyson Fury.
Warren later clarified that Parker is guaranteed the next title shot under WBO rules.
If the bout goes ahead, it will mark the biggest fight of Parker’s career—a major milestone in his heavyweight journey.
