In an aim to encourage and reward the dedication and hard work of rugby players in the country, Jacks of Fiji has announced its partnership with the Fiji Rugby Union as the official apparel sponsor for the next season and also a $10,000 prize money for each winning team in the Skipper Cup Competition and the Vodafone Super Deans Competition.

Jacks of Fiji Director Nikul Khatri says the company believes in supporting the growth of sports in Fiji and this collaboration with the FRU and the prize money sponsorship for the two competitions is a testament to their dedication to nurturing local talents and celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship.

Khatri says the decision to join forces with the FRU aligns with the company’s core values, believing in the power of sports to unite communities, foster talents and inspire the next generation of athletes.

He says the company recognises the significance of these competitions in providing a platform for aspiring athletes to showcase their skills on the national stage.

While receiving the sponsorship, FRU Interim Administrator Simione Valenitabua says this collaboration gives another major boost to the teams participating in the two competitions.

He acknowledged Jacks of Fiji and also CJ Patel and Vodafone for their continued support towards the development of rugby in Fiji.

The prize money will serve as a performance-based bonus for teams donning the QAQA jersey by Jacks of Fiji and a tradition set to continue into next year.
