A woman and three men charged in relation to the alleged kidnapping case involving a 20 year old woman in Lautoka will appear in the Lautoka Magistrates Court today.
The four are alleged to have forcefully removed the 20-year-old victim from her home, following an argument on Wednesday morning, February 25, in Saweni, Lautoka,
Police say the first accused, a 25 year old woman residing in Saweni, allegedly forced the victim into her car, whereas her three accomplices assaulted a relative of the victim, who was trying to intervene.
Police say the victim jumped out of the vehicle and sustained injuries.
They say the 25-year-old woman has been charged with one count of kidnapping, one count of damaging property and one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm.
Her three accomplices, aged 44, 28 and 24 years, all residing in Saweni, have been charged with one count each of kidnapping, assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal intimidation.
